Small-batch care, thoughtfully made in Johannesburg
Oh Golly, Sunshine! with George, Roscoe and Oliver

Plant-rich body care · Coming soon

Find a little sunshine in your day.

Four warm, considered rituals for cleansing, smoothing, polishing and softening—made in small batches, with honest ingredients and no impossible promises.

First, be gentle.
With skin, with claims, and with the little moments you make for yourself.

Our kind of clean

Purposeful ingredients. Clear guidance. A softer ritual.

For us, “clean” is not a claim that natural means risk-free. It means choosing every ingredient for a reason, sharing what is inside, explaining how to use it well, and never promising more than a product can honestly do.

We lead with familiar plant oils, butters and simple ingredients where they serve the formula, supported by functional cosmetic ingredients where texture, stability or the experience requires them.

Three ways to smooth

Sunshine Sugar Wax

A simple sugar, lemon and water blend made for choosing the technique that suits you.

  • Use as a pliable ball, with a stick, or gently warmed with fabric strips
  • Water-soluble clean-up
  • Removes hair and loose surface build-up for a smoother, brighter-looking finish
Product details +

Best for

Removing body hair from the root with flexible at-home application options.

What’s inside

Sugar, lemon juice and water. No conventional wax resins or rosin.

How to use

Begin with clean, completely dry skin and hair about 6–19 mm long. For the ball or flick method, apply against hair growth and flick off with growth, parallel to the skin. For strips, warm only to a honey-like texture, test the temperature, apply with growth and remove quickly against growth, parallel to the skin.

When to use

Best in the evening on cool, dry skin—not immediately after a hot bath or shower. Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours beforehand, never immediately before.

Gentle-care notes

Patch test. Do not use on broken, sunburnt or irritated skin, and avoid repeatedly treating one spot. After waxing, avoid heat, sweating, sun, tight clothing, fragrance and exfoliation for 24–48 hours. Retinoid and isotretinoin users should seek professional guidance before facial waxing.

Water-free solid body balm

Lotion Dots

Little melt-on-contact dots that turn post-shower care into a soft, unhurried moment.

  • Concentrated, water-free care
  • Melts with body warmth
  • Portioned, portable and low-spill
Product details +

Best for

Sealing in moisture and comforting dry-feeling areas without a water-based lotion.

What’s inside

Unrefined shea butter, mango butter, sweet almond oil, fractionated coconut oil, cetearyl alcohol, arrowroot powder, cosmetic fragrance and vitamin E.

How to use

Within five minutes of bathing, warm one dot—or roughly a teaspoon—between your hands. Massage a thin layer over slightly damp skin, giving extra attention to elbows, knees, heels, hands and shins. Let it settle before dressing.

When to use

Immediately after a morning or evening bath or shower; bedtime is especially lovely for drier areas.

Gentle-care notes

Fragranced. Patch test first and avoid broken or freshly waxed skin for 24–48 hours. The formula is rich, so begin with a little. Store cool and dry; warm weather may soften the dots.

Plant-rich by intention

Oils, butters, sugar, coffee and other familiar ingredients form the heart of the range.

Care before claims

Natural is not automatically gentle for everyone, so patch testing and clear cautions matter.

Ritual with a purpose

Every texture and step should make care feel enriching—not complicated.

One sugar wax, three techniques

Choose the method that feels most natural to you

Whichever method you choose, keep the skin taut and remove the product close and parallel to the skin—never straight upwards.

01

Ball & flick

Knead until pliable, mould against the direction of hair growth, then flick off in the direction of growth.

02

Stick & flick

Use a clean spatula for controlled placement, then lift and flick the sugar away in the direction of growth.

03

Warm & strip

Gently warm to a honey-like consistency and use with muslin, cotton or suitable flexible denim strips.

Never apply hot wax. Always test the temperature and patch test first. Full validated directions and aftercare will accompany the finished product.

Brad bending down to greet Rossy in warm afternoon light
Nearly fifteen years of love, light and life.
Brad and Rossy cuddled closely at home

The heart behind the jars

Our sunshine boy left us with a lot of love.

Roscoe was fearless, adventurous, loving and the most gracious little host. After almost fifteen years with him, our home did not feel the same without his light. He left us with a void and an abundance of love still to share.

Oliver arrived one week before we lost Rossy, a gentle little answer we did not yet know we needed. George followed, a loud, loving fireball who brought movement and mischief back into our home.

One day, while making sugar wax again and watching the pups play, it came to us. We could give all that love somewhere to go.

Oh, George Olly, Sunshine.

Every batch lets us carry a little of Roscoe’s story forward, and pour that love into something that can care for someone else.

Love that keeps moving

A growing promise to furry lives

As we establish the business, we will begin with smaller contributions to a rotating group of animal-welfare organisations.

When we reach our agreed profitability milestone, 10% of profit from eligible purchases will support these causes, with customers able to choose from the featured organisations.
